1. Is vengeance a driving force for your character? Why? How important is it to them? No. Thara is often in a position of being petitioned to find answers to aid in finding justice for victims of murder (or other crimes). Part of that involves seeing that restitution is made, or providing sworn testimony. But it's a position of service for him. And personally he's not... really motivated by his personal tragedies, much less toward acts of vengeance - he doesn't see himself as all that important outside that 'purpose' thing, honestly.
2. Has your character committed/completed a major act of vengeance? If so, what did that mean to them? How long ago was it? No.
3. Has anyone ever sought/taken vengeance on your character? Was it deserved? How much did it impact them? He uncovered a very illegal, nonconsensual pornography and blackmail ring being run by some very bad people in the process of investigating a death. This made a lot of people mad. The first act was enough complaints to what amounts to his archbishop resulted in him being sentenced to a 'trial by ordeal' where he was sent up to climb a haunted mountain - he escaped that unscathed. The second was when he was kidnapped by the head of said blackmail and pornography ring to the crypt UNDER the mountain in search of 'treasure'. There was what amounts to a haunting by an insane ritual suicide guarding the tomb (one fully capable of killing and that killed the person who brought him there). Laying it to rest left Thara's mind in something described as 'rags' and without the ability to speak to the dead. Deserved? He would not begin to know. I lean no. (I know this is a lot - sorry, I tried to translate and condense and I'm not sure I succeeded in keeping it coherent).
4. Has any of the above happened on the barge? If so, where? Which people were involved? 5. Is there anything in particular you DON'T want Kahl to know about your character? If so, it will be chalked up to his partial barge nerfs.
Nope. Brand shiny new to the barge.
Also, separately, in terms of general god vision,
5. Is your character inhuman, or do they have anything strange going on with the state of their spirit/soul? If so, can Kahl have a sense of what's up with that, even if he doesn't have the language from his own canon to understand it?
Knock yourself out. He's an elf and while his ability to speak to the dead is currently non-functioning, he is a cleric (and favored by) of Ulis , who is the god of god of death, the moon, dreams, rebirth, and the wronged.
no subject
