Vengeance Sensing Perms Post

Kahl is the god of vengeance in his canon!

Consequently, he can sense vengeance and its impact on people. He won't know the details, but he'll know the general ways it's shaped someone's life, and how strongly.

For example, he wouldn't know that Batman's parents were murdered by a thief in an alley after a movie, and now he's a secret superhero, but Kahl would know that he suffered a terrible loss at a young age and that he shaped his whole life around responding to it!

If you're okay with Kahl having this kind of information about your character, please fill out the following:

Thanks fam!

1. Is vengeance a driving force for your character? Why? How important is it to them? It is such a driving force that he is actually here on the Barge because he goes too far with it. This is partially because he made it his life's mission to kill the man who had tortured him and framed him for (many) murders. But more than that, it's the way his own darkness manifests. He spent a lot of his life being mistreated and/or neglected by various people, and he wants to champion them- he just has realized he prefers to protect them with a blade to the predator's throat.

2. Has your character committed/completed a major act of vengeance? If so, what did that mean to them? How long ago was it? He actually did manage to kill the man he'd devoted his life to killing, Hannibal Lecter- even after he fell in love with him (it's complicated). He considers it his Becoming, a fundamental change in who and what he is. He came to the Barge directly from that, so it's been about six months. It's only faded a little in importance to him since then, as it's no longer the only thing that matters.

3. Has anyone ever sought/taken vengeance on your character? Was it deserved? How much did it impact them?
Yes, but the level of escalation was not deserved. Will used a tactic to enrage a serial killer and get him to come out of hiding, by making a news article demeaning the killer. That serial killer then went on to attack Will's wife and stepson. They managed to get away, but Will realized then that he couldn't have a life with them anymore.

4. Has any of the above happened on the barge? If so, where? Which people were involved?
The only thing that happened on the Barge was Lestat attacking Malcolm, whom Will cares for deeply. Will would've attacked him in retaliation (or tried to), but his Warden and Malcolm kept him from going. It's been the part of being on the Barge he's hated the most.

5. Is there anything in particular you DON'T want Kahl to know about your character? If so, it will be chalked up to his partial barge nerfs. No, go for it!

Also, separately, in terms of general god vision,

5. Is your character inhuman, or do they have anything strange going on with the state of their spirit/soul? If so, can Kahl have a sense of what's up with that, even if he doesn't have the language from his own canon to understand it? Will is completely human, he's just been through a lot.
